Location: Ueno, Tokyo's Backpacker Hub
Ueno has become one of Tokyo's best areas for backpackers, and for good reason. The Keisei Skyliner from Narita Airport arrives at Keisei Ueno Station — just 6 minutes from Hostel JAZ — making it one of the easiest and most affordable airport-to-hostel routes in the city. From Ueno Station, five rail lines connect you to every corner of Tokyo.
Within walking distance of the hostel you will find Ueno Park (10 min), Ameyoko Market (10 min), the Tokyo National Museum (14 min), Ueno Zoo (12 min), and dozens of local restaurants and convenience stores. Asakusa — home to Senso-ji Temple — is 2 minutes by subway. Akihabara is 4 minutes by JR.
