Access from Narita Airport

Option 2: Narita Express (N'EX) — JR Rail Pass Compatible
The Narita Express (N'EX) is operated by JR East and stops at Narita Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2/3. It runs to Ueno Station (JR) in approximately 57 minutes. The one-way fare is ¥3,070 for adults, but it is fully covered by the JR Pass, making it free for rail pass holders. Trains run roughly every 30–60 minutes. Option 3: Airport Limousine Bus — Most Affordable
The Airport Limousine Bus is the most budget-friendly option. Buses depart from Narita Airport Terminal 1 (1F arrival lobby) and Terminal 2/3 (1F arrival lobby). The journey to Ueno Station takes approximately 60–90 minutes depending on traffic. The one-way fare is ¥1,300 for adults. Buses operate several times per day and can accommodate large luggage. Advance reservation is available online. From Ueno Station (bus stop), Hostel JAZ is an 8-minute walk.

From Ueno Station
It is about an 8-minute walk from the Iriya Exit of Ueno Station.
From Haneda Airport
From Haneda Airport, take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho Station (18 min, ¥500), then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Ueno Station (15 min, ¥200). Total journey time is approximately 45–55 minutes. Alternatively, the Keikyu Airport Line connects directly to Ueno (via Asakusa Line) in about 40 minutes for ¥620.
