Terms of Service


In order to ensure that all guests can stay safely and comfortably, Hostel JAZ (the “Hostel”) has established the following facility usage rules (the “Rules”) in accordance with Article 10 of the Accommodation Terms and Conditions. We kindly ask for your cooperation.

If you fail to comply with these Rules, we may refuse your use of the facilities within the Hostel as defined in Article 1 below. Please also note that if any incident occurs as a result of non-compliance, you may be held responsible.

Article 1 (Scope of Application)
These Rules apply to all visitors who use any facilities operated by JAZ Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Hostel”).
Guests staying at the Hostel (hereinafter referred to as “Guests”) shall also be subject to the Accommodation Terms and Conditions in addition to these Rules.

Article 2 (Safety and Security Requirements)
Please be sure to check the evacuation route map posted on each floor for sleeping areas (bunk beds and private rooms).
If you notice anything suspicious during your stay, please contact the front desk immediately.
Overnight stays by persons other than registered guests and visits by outside visitors in the lobby or front desk area are not permitted.
Smoking is prohibited throughout the Hostel, including sleeping areas. Please use the designated smoking area.
The use of heating appliances, cooking appliances, irons, or bringing in and using food or drink items in sleeping areas is prohibited.
Please refrain from any other acts that may cause fire.
Do not enter staff-only areas such as the front desk office, back yard, emergency stairways, or machine rooms.
In order to maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, preschool children are not permitted.
Stays by minors without parental permission are not allowed.
Please refer to the parental consent form.

Article 3 (Handling of Valuables and Left Items)
Please manage your valuables at your own responsibility.
Lost items kept by the Hostel will, unless otherwise specified, be stored for 7 days from the date received or found, after which they will be handled in accordance with applicable laws.
(However, for Guests, Article 16, Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Accommodation Terms and Conditions shall apply. Even if a specific storage request is made, if not fulfilled, the same procedure shall apply.)

Article 4 (Payments)
For reservations other than prepaid bookings, payment is required upon arrival.
We do not accept requests to advance payment for airline tickets, train or bus fares, taxi fares, or luggage shipping charges.

Article 5 (Prohibition on Use by Organized Crime Groups, etc.)
The Hostel will refuse use by the following organizations and individuals.
Even after a reservation is confirmed or during use of the Hostel, if such fact becomes known, we will immediately refuse any further use.
(1) Organized crime groups as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members, members thereof as defined in Item 6 of the same article, associate members, affiliates, and other anti-social forces.
(2) Corporations or organizations whose business activities are controlled by organized crime groups or their members.
(3) Corporations whose officers include organized crime group members.
(4) Cases where violence, assault, threats, extortion, coercive unreasonable demands, or similar acts are recognized.

Article 6 (Acts Prohibited Within the Hostel)
Please do not bring into the Hostel any items that may disturb other guests.
(1) Dogs, cats, birds, and all other pets (excluding guide dogs, service dogs, etc.)
(2) Explosives, highly flammable or combustible materials, petroleum products, and other dangerous items
(3) Items emitting foul or strong odors
(4) Firearms, swords, narcotics, and other items prohibited by law
(5) Excessively large quantities of baggage or goods
(6) Any other items prohibited by law
Please use mobile phones only on the front floor, and refrain from phone calls in other areas. Please keep your phone on silent mode within the facility.
Do not use guest rooms or the lobby for business purposes.
The sale of goods, distribution of advertisements, or promotional materials without permission is prohibited.
Photos taken at the Hostel may not be used for commercial purposes without permission, and such use may be subject to legal action.
Please do not leave belongings unattended in corridors or the lobby.
(Items left for a long period may be stored and inspected if necessary.)
Gambling, acts disturbing public morals or order, or acts causing discomfort or nuisance to other guests are prohibited.
Loud voices, singing, or noisy behavior that disturbs other guests are prohibited.
Ordering food or beverages from outside delivery services is not permitted.
Please do not walk outside your bed area wearing only underwear or similar attire.
Overnight stays by persons other than registered guests are prohibited.
Smoking is prohibited in corridors, the lobby, and all areas other than the designated smoking space.
Stays by minors without parental permission are prohibited.
Use of the Hostel may be refused if a person is physically weak, under the influence of medication, or otherwise unable to ensure their own safety, or if they may cause danger, fear, or anxiety to other guests.
Please do not use the Hostel’s facilities or equipment for purposes other than their intended use in designated areas.
If buildings, fixtures, or other items are damaged, soiled, or lost, whether intentionally or not, you may be required to compensate for the damage.
If buildings, fixtures, or other items are damaged, soiled, or lost for reasons other than force majeure, you may be required to compensate accordingly.
Entry into emergency stairways, the rooftop, rooftop structures, or machine rooms is prohibited except in emergencies.
Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Hostel are prohibited.
